The difference here is the design of the time.The ESB has its strengths spreading throughout the building structure, steel belts and crossbars. The WTC used an open concept design, where it's strengths were contained within its core,the steel frame outside,and steel truss connectors between the frame and core. The WTC had it skeleton on the "outside", whereas the ESB has its skeleton on the "inside". Different support structures,doing the same job. |
