The carefully picked year is the previous 4 quarters.Yes, exactly the worst period of the S&P 500. Pick any other 12 month period and the results are better. And the S&P is expected to be volatile. So 9% over 2 years - well those are the breaks. The only investment opportunity that offered a consistent rate of return higher than that available from a money market fund was Madoff Investments. |
