Yes, I should have noted that my description was how it works in theory. But in practice you never know if it will work or not.It's less risky to use for a legislative position (where the important thing is - whom will the winner vote for for majority leader) than for an executive position. If, hypothetically, Democrats might have used it in Ohio to support Vance in the primary because he was the more extreme and possibly easier to beat, it wouldn't have been that stupid because losing to him isn't much worse than losing to his opponent would have been. |
