Ok, here goes... first off, why are we still talking about this? Yes, I do believe the Lt. legitimately feared for his life. I get that. There have been numerous other instances where police feared for their lives but still got indicted anyway. Anyhow, he should have shot one of the people holding something in their hands, at least that would send the message. The Lt had a few things going for him that I don't have. He is a male black. In the Real World, that makes him untouchable. NOBODY was going to say anything about the shoot, even if he was quoting Tony Montana "say jello to ma leetle frwiend" as he shot. Another thing he had going for him was it's a Democrat House and Senate. Ain't no way they would want to pursue that.If he wasn't a protected class and this wasn't against the Democrats, he may have been in trouble or at least raked over the coals |
