How many shops are qualified to handle an EV breakdown? The only real difference between the two types of cars is the motor. How often do automobile motors stop working, as compared to, say, refrigerator motors? A gasoline car motor can be unusable because of a radiator leak, a dead battery, a dead alternator, a dead fuel injection system, a dead starter, etc. An EV motor pretty much only dies when the batteries go dead. Of course, other things will make a car break down, like a flat tire, a broken tie rod, an accident, etc., etc. But those issues are the same whether it's an EV or not. |
