The future is hard to predict, but many have been predicting the demise of public transportation for decades and up until now, they have all been wrong. I think that he's correct in that it will be different, but it's still too early to tell what that will look like.He seems to be ignoring the fact that most jobs still can't be done remotely and in a city like LA, those jobs represent the overwhelming majority of ridership. And if your job can be done 100% remotely, you're possibly just counting down the days until someone in India is doing your job. Especially tech jobs. They are screwing themselves now. |
