Well the science pretty much agrees you have to be with an infected person about 15 minutes to contract it. What is the chance you're going to be next to an infected person (the vast majority of people aren't infected) for 15 minutes or more in a store. That's why most people contract covid from people close to them, such as at family gatherings rather than from stangers. |
