but since that patient was reported as covid positive to the authorities, it gets lumped into the covid death total.

Sorry, that's right wing propaganda. The number of people who die of something else while having covid just isn't that big.

Besides, I said 1,000 people are dying per day. The stats actually say 1,300. Maybe 100 of those 1300 are really just dying with covid and not of covid. It's still more than 10 times the number dying in car accidents.
