Covid is still far more hazardous than seasonal cold or flu.

And who's talking about destroying our civilization, other than maybe Stephen? I'm talking about reasonable precautions, not destroying the economy. I see plenty of people spending lots of money while wearing masks. And restaurants and bars (where mask-wearing is absurd) are doing fine catering to the people willing and able to take the risk of mingling while not wearing a mask.
