No, he speculated that injecting disinfectant might kill the COVID virus in the body. He didn’t say anyone should go ahead and do it. He didn’t say that bleach would kill any COVID virus.But Trump is both pathetically stupid, incapable of speaking clearly without resorting to incomprehensible word salad, and at the same time there’s a small group that hangs on his every word. So that’s why what he said was bad. It’s like when he told the proud boys to “stand back and stand by,” he obviously meant that he didn’t want them to do any hate crimes or whatever the fuck they do, but the proud boys actually took it literally. |
