The grand jury voted to indict so perhaps there is additional evidence that isn't yet public? Maybe statements that she made?The interesting backstory that I see is that the police department was feeding information to citizens about the break-ins, including to the retired police officer just convicted. If there is evidence that she didn't prosecute because she thought that the local police might be liable, would that be enough for conviction? I didn't follow all of the trial, but I think that there may be more to this story involving the police. |
