Because, as Mr. Alinsky taught them, when you cannot win the argument, attack an unrelated part and make it about that. So, in his mind, it went from him having to defend the burglar to now in his mind having a "gotcha!" moment because I said co-workers. Of course he realizes I didn't specifically say former or correct before that, but just saying co-workers covers it all. |
