Well, which would you rather do? Earn $10 per hour working at McDonald's, or earn $10 per hour picking vegetables?

US residents have both choices, so they pick McDonald's, because it's easier and safer work.

Mexican residents on visitor's visas aren't allowed to work at McD. Their only choice is pick vegetables or don't earn $10/hour - earn $2/hour in Mexico.
