You can have, say a Lieutenant, working the Building Maintenance Unit, wearing jeans and workboots all day. Then, you have the "whip" of a specialized Detective unit, and he wants a suit and tie and works in an office, doing white collar work. Wouldn't he be considered white collar, or because he's a sworn cop, is he saddled with "blue collar"? |
