Byrd will be interviewed by NBC's Lester Holt tonight at 6:30 PM ET. Lt. Byrd himself acknowledged his identity after USCP exonerated him after an unusually thorough investigation. He will discuss the shooting,and the numerous credible death threats he and his family have received since January 6. Of course, Roberts, as the Babbitt family's advocate, is going to try the character assassination tactic. His allegations about Byrd's fitness to serve have not been corroborated by the USCP. Your strikeovers notwithstanding, it is a fact that Byrd was doing his job correctly when he shot Babbitt while she was engaged in felonious, traitorous conduct, and in so doing, the cop likely saved the lives of those he was there to protect. Twisting the narrative won't change that. Oh, and it is also a fact that George Floyd was publicly executed by Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin in front of scores of witnesses, and before the whole world on sharp, clear video. Chauvin was convicted of murder for it. |
