Not to mention that in the minutes before Babbitt stepped through the door, the mob had used a high debree of violence to break the window. I've seen the video - it was a fair amount of smashing involved.So if a mob smashes in your door, and then a single person from the mob steps through, and you're the only one on your side of the door with a gun, what do you do? If this were FL (just as an example) and the mob were black (also just as an example), the cop with the gun would have gotten a medal from DeSantis. Imagine if the protestors in front of Mark McKloskey's house in St Louis had advanced toward him and broken in his front door. He'd have shot down 20 of them in rapid succession. |
