And what was special about Ashli Babbitt that made her specially deserving of summary execution?1. She led a mob through a just-broken-down door, charging toward a lone police officer. 2. Other members of the mob, even if not necessarily the specific people in that group, had been shouting calls for the death of the Vice President and members of Congress. 3. The police officer was guarding a group of unarmed members of Congress just a few feet away. 4. The police officer believed his life and those of the people he was protecting were in imminent danger. 5. The police officer rationally believed that deadly force was appropriate to protect himself and his charges. |
