The bottom line is that statistically if you fully vaccinated and are in good health, you have a better chance of dying from seasonal flu, bee stings or gunshot wounds than dying from any form of covid out there now...Otherwise, for healthy vaccinated folks resulting in a statistically infinitesimal risk of getting seriously ill , the pandemic is over.So long as Covid remains endemic in the community, it will mutate into a variant that will overwhelm existing vaccines and therapeutics. It's already happened. Invitro experiments have revealed the Lambda variant is immune to existing vaccine antibodies. The morbidity of those infected is similar to the unvaccinated who catch the Delta variant. A few cases have been identified in the United States. |
