Pedestrians have come to the notion that they have the right of way at all times, and they love to jaywalk. If I have a green light, and they are on the sidewalk, I start to move, they give me and the other driver the look of , yeah, I dare you to run me over, I am walking here, right now.And if you slow down or stop for them the other pedestrians will take advantage of it and follow, leaving you to miss an entire green light cycle, and causing the drivers behind you to start honking like mad because you are holding them up. I HATE driving into Manhattan because I feel like I am in a constant battle with taxicabs and pedestrians. |
