Even if the high pop counties got 2 state senators it would be better.I get it, progressives want things. But being forced to compromise with a contingent that wants to not change things results in saner policy. NYS's gun control (unpopular opinion) that had to pass an (R) Senate is good. I think if the policies used for non-NYC area counties were nation-wide we'd get something that actually works (shall issue for handguns, which account for most of the crime, 10 round mag limits for everything including rifles, and storage requirements). The restrictions against AR-15 style rifles are dumb, but are essentially irrelevant. |
