I must say I personally don't care how people talk to each other. If I'm in a store and two people are talking to each other, whether in a dialect of English or a foreign language, that's fine.I do care how they talk to me. I am very annoyed if I buy something from a company and their customer service doesn't speak English well enough for me to communicate with them effectively. I also think that it's very important for residents of the United States to be able to speak understandable English when they need to, totally irrespective of any conversation they might have with me. Otherwise, their job prospects are seriously diminshed. |
