That's how the Dems want to portray it.Think of it as a defeat for the pro-slavery Democrats and it gets a bit better . . . It should be recognized as the 2 1/2 year suppression by Democrats of the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation by Republican President Abraham Lincoln.
