Ebola, various flus, MERS, and SARS-1, all in this century. SARS-2, whether zoonotic or not, happens to have been more successful at becoming a worldwide pandemic, because it is more infectious, and doesn't kill you rapidly like ebola. As far as I can see right at this moment there is no evidence for it having leaked accidentally from the lab, no evidence for it being zoonotic, and no evidence for it having been deliberately released from the lab. |
