The restrictions need to end eventually.

Yes, soon. I'm all in favor of ending restrictions that actually prevent stuff (like keeping theaters closed). But masks don't keep you from much of anything. How about if we wait until the death toll drops from 700 per day to a few hundred?

There are still 60K+ new detected cases of covid per day, so probably actually 200K including those that never result in a positive test. Mask wearing could bring that down.
