Increases are due to: 1) refineries shut down in TX due to the freeze; 2) expectations of a rapidly improved economy as more are vaccinated and more states open up (remove mask mandates) to 100% dining in restaurants, gyms, etc.; 3) Biden's aim is to raise gasoline prices to where solar and wind are price-competitive.This article is very informative re: at what price point does renewable energy make more sense to build and use than non-renewable. https://think.ing.com/articles/wind-and-solar-get-increasingly-cheaper |
