Sorry, I was using the colloquial version of the word "you." To be more grammatically correct, I should have said "one's" fellow rioters. This is a prime lesson in why sloppy grammar is bad.The police provide me with valuable services. I strongly object to their being attacked. I consider it a bad enough crime if someone loots or torches a store, but it is far worse if they attack security guards or police officers who are guarding it. What is hypocritical about my having the same view when the Capitol is attacked? I personally know people who have lost money due to looting. I don't personally know anyone who works in the Capitol. Yet I still consider the attack on the Capitol a more serious crime because it is an attack on our entire country. |
