What was the delivery schedule? Here's delivery schedule for the 400 million doses the Trump Administration purchased. As you can see, only 115 million doses were scheduled for delivery by Mar 31st. That's enough for only 57.5 million people. Only 45 million doses (22.5 million people) were scheduled for delivery, when the Biden Administration took over. The Biden Administration invoked the Defense Production Act to get the vaccine manufacturers supplies they needed. That's the major reason that the vaccines purchased by the Trump Administration had had an accelerated delivery schedule. I've already mentioned the problem of getting the vaccine from the shipping dock to the point of delivery. |
