The McCarran Walter Act focused on bringing foreigners here based on national origin, and my grandfather didn't fit into one of their preferred groups.The Hart-Celler Act gave more emphasis to uniting families. And you called the Hart-Celler Act the "nail in the coffin." That sure indicates dissatisfaction to me. |
