Rubbish. Aunt Jemima was a positive symbol to millions of people - her picture brought back fuzzy memories of snowy childhood days when we’d warm up to a stack of hot pancakes or waffles. I never once thought of Aunt Jemima or Uncle Ben or the Cream of Wheat guys as slaves or servants - just smiling people who wanted you to enjoy their product. |
