Re: Covid Test

It is valuable to test without symptoms, since it seems that a pretty big chunk of spread comes from people who have little or no symptoms, or have not developed them yet. Different areas of the country have approached testing in many different manners. Some are doing a good job, some not so good. I'm lucky, the options in my area are excellent, and for a change, the NYC HHC offerings and services are very good, not something that gets said too often. Waiting time websites, "virtual lines" as well as some places using appointments (often tied to a wait outside we'll call you in) and/or drive thru. In the process of adding 40 more mobile units so testing is available in areas that have lots of people, including many who would have a travel issue. But the key is turn around time. If it takes too long to get results, potential spreaders, especially asymptomatic or pre symptomatic are still walking around. The center I use does a rapid and a regular at the same time, rapid is less accurate, but within 2 days, I get a full test confirmation. So far so good.
