"Valentine's Day, Halloween, Mother's Day and Father's Day are all piles of dreck holidays meant to extort money from us or contrived to forcibly celebrate something that should be celebrated without the need for a specific day"Those are all "Hallmark" holidays. Mothers' Day is ultimately Refreshment Sunday (aka Laetare Sunday, after the proper introit) in disguise. |
