He hobbled around with about 20lbs of leg irons on him & got around and did his job in a well concealed wheelchair. If his death certificate is somewhere in the Smithsonian, (its not in the FDR museum btw.) I'd venture a guess that it says primary cause of death being cerebral hemmorrage & hypertention as a secondary cause w/o any mention of polio. Since no post mortem was done, if he had polio or not is what they say...moot. |
