The only reason Nixon "came back" in 68 is because of RFK's assassination and Hubert Horatio was considered a weak replacement candidate. In addition, voters were turning against the Viet Nam war & were starting to hold the Dems responsible for it dragging on. Furthermore, equating Biden with Nixon may not be the way to go here considering what happened to tricky Dick. . |
