Just because they produce 500 shows a season, and Netflix kills off almost everything in 2 seasons doesn't mean we have to join the cult.

You will have no choice. None of the networks is is independent. They are part of larger corporations. They will be shut down by their parent, once they become unprofitable for a few years.

That's capitalism.
