Yes, the people who run Google have their opinions, and their decisions as to what what people or events should be honored with a Google Doodle are informed by those opinions. So what? It would be hard for them not to be.I looked up who was honored yesterday, that presumably triggered this thread. I had never heard of Felicitas Mendez, and was very surprised to learn that some school desegregation was ordered by a Federal court as early as 1946, eight years before Brown v. Board of Ed. It's good to know. There also seems to have been another Google Doodle yesterday, honoring German-Jewish poet Mascha Kaléko, born Golda Malka Aufen in 1907. Somehow, I doubt the OP is bothered by that one. |
