The bigger problem is people working”off the books.” They’re the first ones to brag at a party anxious to let you know that you’re a sap for declaring your earnings. But when a pandemic occurs, they are outraged that their deliberately reduced earnings yield a proportionately reduced unemployment benefit. Most working Joes would have been made whole with the extra $600 if they had reported accurately and, grab a chair for this, LIVED WITHIN THEIR MEANS. But who needs to do that when you’ve got Schumer and Pelosi galloping to the rescue screaming, “It’s not your fault!” |
