Every time I hear "American Woman" by the Canadian Group "Guess Who", I cringe. What a blatant anti American song. If I was a DJ back when it was popular, I'd refuse to play it (and probably get fired).Total hypocrisy inasmuch they had big problems with the "American Woman"( Statue of Liberty innuendo) but had no problem accepting American Dollars. It would have been a better record if it was an instrumental. |
