Interesting that you say that, as there is a proposal to bring a MLB team to Nashville. A stadium would be bulit next to the football stadium on the river. Nashville already has an NFL team and a NHL team, why not MLB? Then if they could somehow steal the Grizzlies from Memphis, they would be a Major City* *-Major City is something I made up awhile back, a city that has -- at least one team in the 4 major sports leagues (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL) -- some sort of local rail transit (light rail, heavy rail, commuter rail, historic trolley, people mover, monorail) --Hub or focus city for one of the major airlines (AA, DL, UA, WN, B6, AS) If Nashville got the Grizzlies (AFAIK, there are no proposals to do this) then MLB - Stars (renamed Blue Jays) NFL - Tennessee Titans NBA - Grizzlies NHL - Predators Rail - Music City Star (CR) Hub/Focus - focus city for WN (and once was for AA) This is all a long shot. |
