I don't feel that way about Seinfeld even now. Some episodes have plots that are dated, like the Bubble Boy where a cell phone would end all of the confusion. But most still hold up. You have to understand that most people didn't find it funny back in the day. Lots did, it was number 1 for awhile, but lots didn't find it funny.Same with MASH, except worse. Lots of people HATED it! Partly because Vietnam was still fresh and loved ones had been lost, but it went beyond that. People just didn't get or appreciate the humor. Some humor isn't for everyone. Most humor I guess. For me it's Friends. I don't dislike it, but it's not all that funny either. Same with Big Bang Theory. |
