Aunt Jemima was a popular and even patriotic figure at least into the 1950sFor 14 years she was portrayed by cook and actress Anna Short Harrington. Later she was portrayed by Ethel Ernestine Harper, a teacher. At least we get a teachable moment out o the current mania to cleanse history. |
