Hydroxychloroquine - Nothing To See Here

Yesterday, in The NY Times, published a news article in which it was stated that 2 reports on hydroxychloroquine were retracted because the same questionable data was used in both reports. The data came from a company called Surgisphere who’s staff reportedly included no scientific personnel. The data calls into question whether the drug is actually as severe a cardiac risk as reported as well as it’s preventative abilities. The studies were retracted in The Lancer and The New England Journal of Medicine because thevauthors could not verify the data.

Of course the question remains why our resident Rationalizer, who so frequently quotes The NY Times as the paper of record, somehow did not report this development. Then again, neither did “scoop” zero, who was right there reporting every negative item published about the drug.
