In that picture, he is not. In another picture, I thought it was upside-down because of the bookmark ribbon hanging down and folded back up, which I figured could only happen from the top of the book. But the image you posted shows an extra-long bookmark sticking out way past the bottom of the book, so in the other image (shown here) it could have been folded back and still have sufficient length for that to be the bottom of the book at the bottom.
