queens, huh? yeah, just about what i figured.

dude, unless you've lived in bensonhurst, or bath beach, or canarsie, or flatlands, you have no clue at all about "race" in brooklyn.

whites have just as much right to live in communities inhabited by mainly members of "their own"...and to be as proud of those neighborhoods as blacks from central harlem or bedford stuyvesant or saint albans are about those areas.

bensonhurst...your grandma could have gotten off the train at two in the morning and not have to worry about a blessed thing.

okay, every once in a while a black transit out of the coney island yards would go to the avenue x bagel ship and get a serious thumping from the boys. so what? how many white people have gotten f**ked up by blacks if they got off at the wrong stop? do you think that's okay?

i don't know about the rest of the country. but i know brooklyn. and in brooklyn, if you didn't stand up for your neighborhood and your people, marauders would swoop in and go for the easy pickins'.

that didn't happen in bensonhurst. i was so proud to know that on those streets, those marauders feared to tread. it was their turn to fear getting off at the wrong stop. at least during the time I lived there, even on the trains people knew not to fuck with people from our neighborhood. that was good to know.
