That this complaint was made was well known during the weeks preceding the 2016 election. The complainant had scheduled a press conference or public appearance, but it was canceled at the last minute, and the charges were withdrawn. Trump says it's because the charges were baseless and the woman was confused or just seeking publicity, but the exact circumstances of what happened have never been made public. |
