What does The TWU do when National Guard start driving the busses?I'm hardly a TWU spokesman. I'd assume the TWU's response would depend on where and for what purpose the buses were driven. I'd expect a favorable reaction, if National Guard driven buses were used to transport prisoners to central booking. I'd expect a less than favorable response, if National Guard driven buses were driven along MTA/NYCT routes in regular passenger service. What happens when a driver needs police in the future? Are you implying that NYPD's response in protecting a particular class of people depends on whether that particular class made a prior protection payment (monetary or otherwise) to the NYPD? |
