So day 0 in Excel (and its predecessor, from which it got the system, Lotus 1-2-3) would be 12/31/1899. Except that is based on the incorrect assumption that there was a 2/29/1900. So in fact, Excel day serial numbers for real dates (3/1/1900 on) really give elapsed days since 12/30/1899. |
