I would not say that many people are asserting that. The First Amendment protects a business from state retaliation if it chooses not to serve someone who is not wearing a mask just as they can refuse to serve at least certain products that would endorse messages they find objectionable (Happy Birthday Dolph, Congratulations Adam and Steve, etc.). It does not protect from private shaming by those who believe that mask requirements are a threat to our civil liberties and post on social media shaming those businesses that require masks for service.
