Technically, yes, it was covered in the local media, just not in the citywide papers. I recall reading about how an organizer was toying with the idea of holding a virtual parade this year. That's the kind of odd notion that sticks with you for a bit. Over the past couple of days, stories specifically mentioning the Mermaid Parade hit my feeds via 6sqft, Brooklyn Paper, Brooklyn Eagle, Brooklyn Patch, and BK Reader. |
