IAWTP.In fact, Grant issued orders to all his commands that voting was to occur unimpeded by anyone. Both Lincoln and McClellan had very aggressive GOTV campaigns among the troops, encouraging them to vote by mail. If we could vote just fine by mail in 1864, why not today? You're absolutely correct on this. |
