Send every registered voter a PIN number, followed with a paper ballot. Give them the option to either mail the ballot in beforehand or bring the completed ballot to their regular polling place for collection on Election Day. The poll workers can then process the ballots real time, and the result gets augmented by the absentees same as usual. This method minimizes potential contact with infirm voters, enables all registered voters to exercise their franchise., and the PIN number, which each voter includes on their ballot, verify same. If there's an issue, the PIN gets used to verify the voter. it would require some groundwork on the part of governments, but the technology to do this already exists. |
